Jim Gaven is a 22 year old singer/songwriter from Hamilton, NJ who has been penetrating the local and regional music scene for the past 4 years. After countless hours of crafting and re-writing 90 songs in 4 years and having only 6 years of self taught guitar experience under his beltcoupled with performances at over 400 events from Massachusetts to Maryland, he has made a name for himself as an esteemed songwriter and dedicated musician. He currently has 1 self-recorded demo for sale entitled, Feelings, Thoughts, and Tendencies, and 1 professionally recorded EP for sale, What Was Never Said. He has shared the stage with established acts such as Boy Sets Fire, The Scene Aesthetic, Dave Melillo, Making April, The Track Record, Adelphi, A Day at The Fair, Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin and Tourmaline, AND....has performed at CBGBs in NYC, Maxwell's in Hoboken, Hamilton Street Café, Bloomfield Ave. Café, and The Stone Pony as well as steady gigs at Seton Hall University, Montclair St. University, Drew University, TCNJ, Lehigh University, and Monmouth University. He writes music from the heart and yearns to be a great storyteller over his career. Aside from writing lyrics and playing guitar, he can also play the bass guitar, drums, and some piano.
